BE ON GUARD about opening e-mail attachments which are forwarded from some source by well-meaning friends, and never open attachments from unknown people, else you may get a virus.  

To avoid SPAM on computers I noticed on one web site they tell their visitors to only post their e-mail address with AT instead of @, and advise those who wish to contact them to change it to  @ before mailing.  That might work for a private and personal e-mail address to friends. This way may block a spyware search machine from gathering addresses for mass mailings.  It requires a human to read and make the change, which is not the way advertisements and bulk mailings are done. Interesting thought.

Often, some hackers/scammers copy the Logo of a sound company or bank, and pretend to be them in asking for personal information, so beware!   - RLD

E-MAIL  HOAXES are often sent by well- meaning friends, telling some fantastic story
or quite believable event, and it turns out to
be a hoax.  One would do well to go to the web site: www.snopes.com and check with them about the story to see if it is true. 

 Christians should not be in a hurry to "broadcast" a story to others if they are not sure of it.  It may also be a means to allow spyware into the computer to target one for advertisements.

A MATHEMATICAL VIEWPOINT

What Equals 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?   Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%?   We have all been in situations where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 101%?   What equals 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions to ponder upon:

If:  A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z   is represented as: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26;   

then: H-A-R-D-W-O-R- K
8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%;

But, A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E

Now look how far the love of God will take you:

SPECIAL THOUGHTS ON END TIMES
(Some notes perceived on current conditions)

As the Word of God says: no one knows but God, the day or the hour when the end will come for life on earth as we know it ---see Matthew 24:35-36 and Matthew 25: 13; but sincere seekers might "see the day approaching" (Heb. 10:25) by many bad and sad conditions. The end will actually come as "a thief in the night" (1 Th. 5:2-3) ---the unannounced and sudden JUDGMENT as God says as a certainty.   This speaks of the "Tribulation" time after the Church is translated up to Heaven sud-denly (in secret) before this time; which strongly suggests one NEEDS to be saved for Heaven today.

One might well suppose it could be very near, as we can see the extremes in con-ditions everywhere ---perhaps a prelude of warning to man as God seeks to get our attention, in the face of Satan's strong deceit and attacks.  Doubters seem only to prefer to think all is well and things will get better, though God says mankind as a whole is "condemned already" (John 3:18) ---so we need to "...flee from the wrath to come" (Luke 3:7).

Everything is moving to extreme ---the weather, climate, population explosion with limited resources to accomodate the people; rebellion to proper order and decency in communities, wide-spread killings by wicked agents of Satan, rampant immor-ality, rejection of authority,  ungodliness in nations and societies,  evil behavior permitted and accepted by ungodly people,  schools and governments  disdaining Christianity, etc.

When the Lord Jesus calls up His "bride" --the Church, to Heaven out of this world it will be suddenly wthout notice or time to repent ---"in the twinkling of an eye" 
(see 1 Cor. 15:51-53), then the wrath of God will begin to fall on this scene. We need to remember the Word of God is warning us now, and all souls left here without the Lord Jesus will be left to condemnation, and that for eternity. God will truly form a new earth in a later time, but without those who fail now to bow to the Creator-God and trust His "beloved Son". Who among us is reading and heeding the Word of God while we have time? Let us prayerfully read and earnestly pray about such as John 3;  John 14; Romans 8; etc. in God's holy Word (pref. the Authorized KJV Bible), and trust and obey the Lord.     - R. L. VIEWS ON THE BIBLE
[Response to one about Bible overview]  

Dear friend: Christianity should be very clear (and not 'simple and vague' as you also say), as to salvation of our soul for eternity, and for all truth); and depends IF man is receiving "all the counsel of God" (Acts 20:27), and "rightly dividing the Word Of Truth" (2 Tim. 2:15), as enjoined to do by our God in the Holy Bible. We see  Redemption Way, Church Truth, and Spiritual Life are all essential to New Testament truth. I hope you also value that. 

The Old Testament needs to be understood basically as history of creation, order, and God's foundation truth; the history of man and God's purposes; beside His covenant promise for Israel forever, IF they are obedient and faithful. Underlying all this is God's gift of His "beloved Son" today for the whole world:   Israel's Messiah ---  who they rejected and crucified.  That religion has since been set aside; and will not be restored until after the Millenniel reign of Jesus Christ as shown in Revelation  (note Rev.7; Rev. 21:1; Rev. 22: 17-21).

Seeking souls need to read their Bible beginning in the New Testament in a reliable version (as the venerable King James Version, which some of us have learned by comparisons). Our Holy Bible speaks of this present age as well as the Old Testament. One can see the message of salvation clearly in the four Gospel Books. Church Truth and Spiritual life can then be learned in the book of Acts and the Epistles, and can be made plain by Bible teachers in sound Bible-only assemblies.  Seekers can learn of such fellowship through  Bible Truth Publishers, Addison, IL -USA. Serious seekers must want to know the truth and be willing to search it out, rather than just suppose things and listen to every idea some religious people have.  

There are steps to take in bowing to God which the Bible clearly shows us: A. The first step is realizing that there is an almighty Creator-God, and if one cannot allow that, the Bible will not be comprehensible, for it is not a book of ideals or just good standards by men. It is the immutable Word of God!   B. A general Bible overview is important to appreciate and know God's Word to man; and the first thing to see is that the Old Testament looks forward to the New Testament, and from all of the history there;  and the religion of the Israelites points forward in typology to the TRUE sacrifice on the Altar for mankind, in God's  "beloved Son" (John 3):  the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God   (replacing animal types on the altar) ---Israel's Messiah and the Savior for Gentiles too.  C. Religious seekers need to find the salvation of one's soul for eternity, by reading the Gospel message in the Bible ---see John 1; John 3; John 14, then ask our Creator-God to teach the seekers what they have just read. Like a new child we need to learn to walk by steps,  and here are some steps from infancy to more maturity in faith.  I hope it will prove helpful: 
 1. Real faith and true devotion to Jesus, the Christ of God for salvation of one's soul, is needed and that is personal faith and a relationship, not just trying to follow Bible teachings;   and that is thanking Him for His sacrifice, and then making Him Lord of one's life and best Friend (note Matt.17:5;  Mark 9:7 for the need. 
2. Study of the Bible to understand the essence of God's mind and ways, which is: a) realizing the difference between the Old Testament religion of Israel and the church in the New Testament; b) after reading the chapters stated above here, one can begin reading all the NT, and later can read the OT to learn more of the ways of God and how it pointed forward to Christ; c) be "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" as God says to see the major differences between the Israelite religion (which pointed forward to Christ) and Christianity in Jesus, the Christ of God who fulfilled the prophecies and types of old;

3. See the three major aspects of Christianity in Redemption WayChurch Truth, and Spiritual Life for spiritual development; 

4. Find a sound Bible-only Christian fellowship to conform to the mind and ways of God for the Church universal, and our walk in this world with all gathered saints (note 1 Cor. 12:25). One needs to see there are no contradictions in the Word of God, and should take "all the counsel of God" as shown for the Church (Bride of Christ), and put the Lord Jesus first in one's life for peace, assurance, and joy for evermore. Reading the Bible DAILY is important to serious seekers ---and one might see the Scofield KJV Study Bible as reliable guidance.

EVIL AND WICKEDNESS
One was heard to say: "Evil is Live spelled backwards". That is an interesting observation, and we might say that the life God expects for man to live in His creation, is rapidly turning backward to evil in our present day. Evil is things contrary to God as He shows us in His "Word of Truth"---being unacceptable, wrong, self-centered and harmful; and it needs to be corrected (note also Numbers 12: 13-15); and it might be early steps toward wickedness, which is abominable, vile, heinous, harmful (note Eccl. 8:12-13); being also a description of the world under the rule of the political and religious Beasts, shown in the Book of Revelation to come as God says (Rev. 13).  One can see in a dictionary that they are two separate conditions ---flesh acting; and then about the abominable acts. God shows in 1 Cor. 5:12-13 the distinction and the need to discipline evils within for correction, but stating also to "...put away from among yourselves the wicked person"; those who creep in unawares, and are discovered later.

Hopefully our conscience would not be seared to accept evil around us and give up godliness; AND hopefully that we will not be here yet in this scene when wickedness reigns overall, but then be with the Lord above. That depends on "what think ye of Christ --whose son is He?" (note Mathew 22:41-46); and the Pharisees there did not want to answer what Jesus spoke --that the Christ had come from God. - RLD: GMd; 03/2020.

SOME UNDERSTANDING OF MT. SINAI

The documentary movie: SEARCH FOR MT. SINAI ---MOUNTAIN OF FIRE is on DVD and is really great and informative. One might rent it at the local library and maybe find it a real blessing. It is recommended for Christians to get it and invite friends to view it with you. It is an expedition by Bob Cornuke and Larry Williams to Sinai and Saudi Arabia to see the famous mountain where God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses. The pictures are very revealing. It is reported that they had to sneak into Saudi Arabia to get to it, since the government there will not give permission for one to go there. 
Secular history shows Mt. Sinai as a mountain in the place chosen by Helena, the mother of the Emperor Constantine, to be the location of where Moses received the tablets, but many researchers over the years have said it does not meet the Bible description. The RC religion has promoted it as being there and the secular world has just accepted that. This site in Saudi Arabia seems a more true location.  

Christians will likely find a blessing and knowledge in seeing this movie. It might be available at Amazon.com if one would like to buy it ---well worth having for reference. - R. L. DeWitt: OR; -w0819.
